Kim Jong Un Supervises North Korea’s Rocket Engine Test for Ballistic Missiles | Spotlight | N18G

North Korea has completed the final ground test of a new high-thrust solid-fuel rocket engine, supervised by Kim Jong Un. State media says the engine, built with carbon fiber and capable of producing nearly 2,000 kilonewtons of thrust, will power the country’s next-generation intercontinental ballistic missile, the Hwasong-20. Solid fuel technology allows faster and more concealed launches compared to older liquid-fuel systems. The test came days after Kim’s visit to Beijing, where he appeared alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin at a military parade. Analysts believe Pyongyang may attempt a flight test of the Hwasong-20 later this year. Kim has also called for multi-warhead systems and smaller ICBMs that could be launched from vehicles or submarines.
