Call of Duty Movie in Production at Paramount! Will it Work?

Paramount and Activision have agreed on terms to adapt Call of Duty to the big screen. While the franchise is a bit on the wane, it is still a juggernaut and there are plenty of interesting stories to tell.

But we have seen video game adaptations before, specifically from Paramount, could this be different?
