Big Block Modifieds at Oswego

A National career race at Oswego Speedway on Expert difficulty. The track surface is a little bumpy, but not bad. There is a decent amount of room for maneuvering around traffic. The track does get slick below the cushion after Qualifying and progressively gets worse, leaving a small lane at the very bottom with traction or the cushion. I find sliding from the bottom of 1 to the top of 2, then enter the middle or top of 3 and exiting on the top of 4 the fastest. Entering in the middle or high of turn 3 can be tricky, so entering low is a safe bet without scrubbing off much. The bottom is pretty close to the top early on, but by the Heats the fastest line mentioned before is far faster.

A very good race with 1 caution, although I anticipated another caution early on, but it never came. The caution came for Stewart Friesen, as he had checked up for Mike Mahaney and then got hit from behind by Marcus Dinkins, and came to a stop in the middle of the corner. Generally traffic navigation was pretty good. I did give a couple cars a light shot in the shorts. I also got into the wall a couple times either over driving or entering the corners wrong. Overall though the race itself was pretty good with sliders and dive bombs.
