The Way Ahead

A 1944 production in black and white drama war film, with a cast of famous British actors David Niven, Stanley Holloway and Peter Ustinov make this film worth watching for its realistic adventure story line.

At the outbreak of World War Two, a group of naïve conscripts from diverse backgrounds are called up. The film follows their lives from conscription through training and their deployment to North Africa.
For an old film the quality is very good and the story line plus acting make it an enjoyable film to watch.
