A training exercise on search and rescue support for flights was held at Minsk National Airport

A set of special measures is conducted with the aim of improving the organization of rescue operations, practicing interaction and practical actions of the airport rescue team, involved services, aviation organizations, and government authorities in accordance with the requirements of the Emergency Plan.

The exercise involved forces and means from Minsk National Airport, the airlines Belavia and Transaviaexport, the enterprise Belaeronavigation, units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Health, Minsk Department of Internal Affairs for Air Transport, border and customs committees.

In total, more than 100 specialists and airport staff and cooperating structures were involved, about 20 units of equipment, 2 aircraft, and Ministry of Emergency Situations helicopters Mi-26 and Mi-8.
