✅ Ingredients (Baked Mostaccioli Recipe):
2 lbs mostaccioli noodles (cooked as directed, save noodle water)
2 cups shredded mozzarella
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 egg
Cheese Mixture: Combine 1 ½ cups mozzarella, 1 cup ricotta, ½ cup parmesan, and 1 egg. Reserve remaining cheese for topping.
Meat Sauce:
1 lb spicy sausage
1 lb lean ground beef
1 large onion (chopped)
4–6 cloves garlic (minced)
2 cans San Marzano whole tomatoes
1 can San Marzano diced tomatoes
3 tbsp tomato paste
½ cup noodle water
Fresh basil
2 tbsp olive oil
👩‍🍳 Cook meats, onion, and garlic in olive oil. Blend whole tomatoes with paste to form sauce. Add to meat with diced tomatoes, basil, and noodle water. Season and simmer 30–45 min.
Assemble: Mix noodles, sauce, and cheese mixture in baking dish. Top with remaining cheese. Bake covered at 350°F for 45 min. Optional: broil 5 min for crispy topping.
