1. Boone inflatable bath-aid turned camp chair. Sewing highchair straps onto the cover of an inflatable bath aid gave me a secure place for baby to sit at camp.

2. Wash-free, hands-free bottles. Using Playtex Nursers with disposable liners cut down on my time spent cleaning bottles between feedings. Pairing them with the tubing from a "self-feeding" bottle I found on Amazon made it easier to feed baby on the go.

3. DIY changing mat. Cutting a kitchen drawer liner to about 12x24" gave me a cheap lightweight alternative to other portable changing mats.

4. Tent pole walker. Taking three pole segments from an old tent helped me support baby as she practiced walking on the trail. Don't have poles to spare? Segments from a replacement kit can work too.

Friendly disclaimer: If you decide to try something shared here, use good judgement. Never leave a child unsupervised with a gear item (modified or not.) You are responsible for the health and safety of your own family.
