Psalm 128 — The Real Good Life

A good life is trusting Yahuah — knowing He’s got this in every small and great thing (Proverbs 3:5–6).
When you can be trusted with little, you can be trusted with much (Luke 16:10).
Psalm 128 shows what that trust looks like lived out:
* Provision through honest work
“You shall eat the labor of your hands. Be blessed, and let it be well with you.” — Psalm 128:2
→ Micah 4:4 — “Each of them will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, with no one to make them afraid.”
→ 2 Thessalonians 3:10 — “If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.”
* A faithful, fruitful wife
“Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house.” — Psalm 128:3
→ Proverbs 18:22 — “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahuah.”
→ Proverbs 31:30 — “A woman who fears Yahuah, she shall be praised.”
* Children as a lasting heritage
“Your children like olive plants around your table.” — Psalm 128:3
→ Psalm 127:3 — “Behold, children are a heritage from Yahuah, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”
→ Proverbs 22:6 — “Train up a child in the way he should go…”
* Generational blessing
“Yes, may you see your children’s children.” — Psalm 128:6
→ Proverbs 17:6 — “Children’s children are the crown of old men.”
→ Job 5:25 — “You shall know also that your seed will be great, and your offspring as the grass of the earth.”
→ Psalm 91:16 — “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”
Peace, provision, and joy that last — this is the real good life (John 10:10).
And remember: it is never too late to leave the world behind and follow the Creator (Luke 9:23; Matthew 4:19).
