Taking the Lowe Rd ;)

9/6/25. Lumber River. Lowe Rd to Kenric Dr. Wildlife Access near Lumberton. A great day on the Lumber River. Good weather, low water, fair amount of downfall, some requiring cutting; 13 paddlers: Omer, Mitch, Van, Gene, Chuck, Scott, Andy, Dennis, Tom (new to kayaking), Ronda, Dale, Donna, and Aaron . One swimmer - leaned backwards and lost balance under a branch. No problem. On his way quickly. This section between Lowe Rd. and Kenric Dr. is very scenic but it's a long 9 mile paddle. I think everyone was glad to see the bridge a Kenric. After the paddle, many crossed that bridge for ICE CREAM! Mitch, thanks for leading the trip and for shuttling. I think everyone had a fun time.
