Locating Migrant Minors Under the Trump Administration

During the Biden administration, one of the most serious and shameful crises in migration and child protection took place. Between 2021 and 2024, more than 470,000 unaccompanied minors entered the United States, and thousands of them were handed over to sponsors without even the most basic safety checks. No DNA testing was conducted, there were no effective background screenings, and in many cases, incorrect information was entered into official systems. The result was disastrous: tens of thousands of children disappeared from the radar, many ended up exploited for labor or sex, and dozens were found dead. All this happened under the negligence and passivity of Joe Biden and his team.

Fox News documented the horror with chilling cases: children found in deplorable conditions, dirty, abused, and subjected to debt bondage. The lack of rigor in vetting sponsors allowed predators and traffickers to pose as parents or guardians, exposing these minors to situations akin to modern slavery. The data speaks for itself: more than 233,000 minors without legal supervision, over 30,000 sent to incomplete addresses, and around 43,000 who never appeared for court hearings.

Faced with such failure, the Trump administration took decisive action. A special team, known as the War Room, was created in Washington, D.C., led by Tom Homan, with agents and volunteers from agencies like the FBI and Homeland Security. Through exhaustive data analysis and address verification, they managed to locate more than 22,000 children, arrest over 400 criminal sponsors, and establish strict new rules: mandatory DNA testing, income verification, and background checks for every sponsor.

The difference is clear: while Biden’s negligence allowed children to fall into the hands of traffickers and exploiters, Trump acted decisively to rescue and protect them. Although some critics try to downplay the scale of the problem, the facts are undeniable. The Biden administration was negligent, irresponsible, and complicit in a humanitarian tragedy, while the Trump administration implemented concrete and necessary measures to restore safety and dignity to thousands of migrant children.
