I can’t comment on casualties — but based on geolocation data, here are the territorial gains for 2025:
January: 413 sq km
February: 223
March: 258
April: 330
May: 550
June: 467
July: 423

There hasn’t been a single month in 2025 when Russian forces captured 600 sq km.
Total for the first seven months: 2,664 sq km — an average of 380 sq km per month.
The pace has accelerated, but it still falls short of 600–700.
At this rate, it would take approximately 17 more months to capture the remaining parts of Donbas — assuming the focus remains solely there.
