This country-pop ballad tells the story of gratitude during the Canadian Caper of 1979, when Canada helped rescue six American diplomats in Iran. Inspired by my memories of California during that time, while I was vacationing there. The song blends heartfelt storytelling with a chorus of thanks. Featuring acoustic guitars, fiddle, harmonies, and children’s voices, it’s a moving tribute that reminds us of friendship, and international solidarity.
