There is no safe road.
No corner to hide in.
Every direction holds danger, and every sound makes our hearts stop.

I hold Baby Ameer close, feeling his small heartbeat racing against mine.
I tell him it will be okay but the truth is, I don’t know.
When bullets are flying from every side, where do you run?
Where can you hide when the whole world around you is burning?

We are a family of three, trapped in a war we didn’t start, living in constant fear that the next moment could be our last.
We have no home only temporary places where we hope to survive the night.
No milk for Ameer.
No medicine when he is sick.
No certainty of another sunrise.

And yet… we keep moving.
Because stopping could mean the end.
Because my baby deserves a life beyond this fear.
Because somewhere deep inside, we hope someone, somewhere, will see this and care enough to help us make it through.
