Deuteronomy 16

In chapter 16, Moses reiterates that Israel should remember how God brought them out of the land of Egypt, and how that should impact how they live. Remembering hard times can help us be grateful for where we are now, especially if we've been saved from them.

These feasts (Unleavened Bread leading to Passover, Weeks, and Booths) were ways to be thankful for how God was blessing them, just like giving to the poor and sabbatical years. If we're living in gratitude and thankfulness, we look at life differently.

Justice should also represent that. How do we treat people? How are disputes handled?

Let's live our lives in a spirit and habit of gratitude and joy!
