Note: This was Gene Siskel's final show after 23 years since 1975 and while it was tough battle after the surgery, it was a strong will for him to go on reviewing movies and continuing for about 8 months. The following week, Siskel went back to the hospital recuperating from another surgery until February, 20 where he sadly passed away. Although, Siskel did sounded a little better on this episode than he was and it's devastating he couldn't make a second return on the next program as Ebert was all alone in two shows after a 1998 rerun of "Breakout Stars".

Gene Siskel & Roger Ebert reviews "At First Sight" (R.I.P. Val Kilmer who passed away earlier this year (April 1, 2025). And this was a great romantic drama about a blind masseuse who later falls in love with a beautiful women and gains his first eyesight. Also stars Mira Sorvino.); "Another Day in Paradise"; "The Hi-Lo Country", "Playing by Heart" and "The Theory of Flight".

Video Pick of the Week: Ebert's pick is the sweet Romantic Ballroom Dance film, "Dance with Me" (Starring: Vanessa Williams, Chayanne, Kris Krisofferson and Joan Plowright. Here's an interesting scene, the moment when John was driving at night with Rafael making conversation about himself and his family, the location was shot at Brand Blvd. of Cars in Glendale, CA. The same location where Clark Grisworld got his station wagon in "National Lampoon's Vacation" was filmed.) And a recap of Today's program.

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
