Occam’s Razor Gardening, Cooking & Canning Ep 108

We’re getting a couple of centimeters of rain over 24 hrs, but yesterday had winds gusting to 65 Kph and the giant sunflower in the back yard got pushed over. A little right-siding and soaking the pot it grows in for added weight should keep it steady, but I’ll have to keep my eye on gusting forecasts.

The beans are lovin’ this cooler weather, providing a healthy side per meal, not that I don’t have plenty of zucchini, kale, carrots, potatoes and squash to pick from as well.

I haven’t eaten any gourd squash yet this year that I didn’t can last year. Once they’re harvested, it’ll be a race to eat all the spaghetti squashes first before they get spots, and then move on to the others. If the non-spaghetti squashes start to spot, they get canned and eaten into the spring and most often, with extra left over.
