What I'm thinking is all about statistics. Knowing what numbers are required for a set number of the population to be fully employed.

Economics is focused on efficiency, making the labor more productive in order to maximize the use of material inputs for the maximal amount of profit. Then you decide on how to utilize the profit, it's either reinvested for growth or distributed for?

I think there needs to be a shift in the thinking along the lines of the old communist model. Where your society is maximally employed for the efficient distribution of the outputs that can take the form of capital or a standard of living that is provided by the labor of society. Food, lodging, entertainment all part of a culture that is fully invested in being a maximally happy. I think that all breaks down into statistics.

Our tax policy has all the elements of society paying their fair share and I don't think it would be much of a stretch to find out the numbers of people required to make a part of the economy work, logistics for example, how many trucks are required for to service a certain number of the population, then you find the number of people who are employed to service that population and you have a statistic that would cover the range of the countries need for logistics. If you did that for every category of the economy that is generating revenue you would have a statistical blueprint for what is required and how many jobs are in your society and where.

You have been building cities from scratch, I think you can build one where the population is serviced by the technology not the labor and distribution of the wealth it creates. It's a shift in the mindset. Statistical mechanics.
