No Music in Babylon — Harps Hung Up (Psalm 137 + Rev 18)

Psalm 137 begins with sorrow by the rivers of Babylon — God’s people could not sing in a foreign land, their harps silenced on the willows. Revelation 18:22 echoes this imagery: ‘The voice of harpers and musicians shall be heard no more in thee.’
It’s more than history — it’s prophecy. The silence of Babylon points to judgment, and the tears of God’s people point to Christ, who also wept over the city. Yet even in exile, the hope of deliverance remains. #psalms #prophecy #scripturesongs #revelations
