WEBSTER DEV DIARY 00012 -.666 Timescale Override | Custom Class | Female Voice | LAG | WebGibs

In this dev diary, I cover several big updates and discoveries. I built a custom class to handle dialogue objects more effectively with the existing dialogue manager, and finally added a female voice track to improve immersion. I also realized I’d been running the project on a manual timescale override of .666 for days (not a Freemason, just a mistake!). Performance issues popped up too -likely tied to the GTX1650 downgrade while my Radeon card is away for RMA. On the technical side, I experimented with disabling scripts and game objects directly in the hierarchy to troubleshoot and optimize. A mix of fixes, experiments, and lessons learned, all wrapped up in today’s time lapsed session.
