James Biden and his wife Sara acquired the parcel, and in 2017, a lobbyist with ties to Joe Biden bought additional land from James, but no evidence directly ties these transactions to Epstein's operations. Discussions on social media platforms like X highlight Water Island's submarine base and its closeness to Little Saint James, often amplifying unverified claims of underground networks or shared elite activities.

Necker Island, owned by billionaire Richard Branson, is part of the British Virgin Islands and lies about 34 miles northeast of Little Saint James. Branson purchased the 74-acre island in 1979 for $180,000 after negotiating down from an initial $6 million asking price, transforming it into a luxury resort frequented by celebrities.

Maria Farmer, an artist and one of Jeffrey Epstein's early accusers, alleged in 2019 interviews that Epstein's Manhattan townhouse was equipped with hidden pinhole cameras throughout, including in bedrooms and bathrooms, to monitor and record private activities. Farmer, who worked for Epstein in the 1990s, claimed he personally showed her a "media room" filled with screens displaying live feeds from these cameras, describing it as a surveillance setup for capturing compromising moments. She recounted seeing the system in operation, with Epstein boasting about its capabilities, which she believed were used for blackmail purposes. This testimony aligns with broader allegations of Epstein's extensive recording network across his properties.

Farmer extended her claims to Epstein's Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, where she described massive surveillance rooms "bigger than houses" housing servers and monitors for constant video recording. According to her, the cameras were ubiquitous and often concealed, only noticeable if pointed out, suggesting a sophisticated system designed for secrecy

Reports emerged in 2019 that Jeffrey Epstein had a $50,000 cement truck shipped to Little Saint James just weeks before the Miami Herald published its exposé on his sex trafficking activities, sparking speculation about covering up underground structures. Sources like Vigilant Citizen noted that Epstein rushed $100,000 worth of cement to the island, allegedly to fill tunnels beneath his property, including under the infamous blue-striped temple. This action coincided with increased scrutiny, leading to theories that he was burying evidence of illicit activities in subterranean areas used for abuse or storage.
