Hello knight’s and Knighties, it’s another addition of Midknight_Expressions with Sir David Evil Midknight.
Welcome to the world of impossibilities with the introduction of my 4th album, The Madman. The Bio contains information regarding the conception, history and content.
Current projects are, True Faith. From The Cutting Room Floor. An album yet to be released. I have completed the Bio, and Acappela version and am working on the Acoustic version. I am very excited about the next project. More on that in episode 8 of Midknight_Expressions.
This week's review is, The Crow. Graphic novel vs movie. I was first introduced to The Crown through an appearance in a magazine called, Heavy Metal. After which I purchased the graphic novel.
The Crow, graphic novel, is a supernatural superhero comic book series created by James O'Barr revolving around the titular character of the same name. The series, which was originally created by O'Barr as a means of dealing with the death of his fiancée at the hands of a drunk driver,[1] was first published by Caliber Comics in 1989. It became an underground success
The Crow, the movie, is a 1994 American supernatural[3] superhero film[4][5][6] directed by Alex Proyas and written by David J. Schow and John Shirley, based on the 1989 comic book series by James O'Barr. It stars Brandon Lee in his final film role, as Eric Draven, a rock musician who is resurrected from the dead to seek vengeance against the gang who murdered him and his fiancée.
Although both are very different. I feel that they complement each other. The movie captures the essence of the novel.
The idea of a spirit of vengeance is appealing. Being the spirit of vengeance is intoxicating. The ideology of blood for blood or an eye for an eye is a very old tradition. It is also the source of perpetual suffering.
Virtually invincible and unstoppable, yet still has mortal vulnerabilities. The foremost of which is humanity, that and his spirit companion, The Crow.
The complexities of justice and true justice is enough to drive anyone insane. Life is death. To live you must consume life. In death we are consumed.
Welcome to true insanity. Not the fluff of crazy for the sake of crazy. No nothing so easy or simplistic. This is the true depth of madness. Something so far we are obsessed with it and obsessedly avoiding it. Death, death as a whole. Our death, loved ones death, the death we need to consume to live.
Definitely an appropriate review for the video introduction of, The madman.
Next week's video is the bio of The Ferryman. Information regarding the history, conception and birth of the first song from , The Madman.
