Mike Rogers, the Trump-endorsed candidate for the Michigan Senate, served in the United States Army from 1985 to 1989. Following his military service, Rogers worked as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in its Chicago office from 1989 to 1994, specializing in organized crime and public corruption.

He served as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 8th congressional district from 2001 to 2015. During his tenure in Congress, Rogers was a prominent figure in national security issues, chairing the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence from 2011 to 2015.
