Kill The Spirit of Unbelief - Get A Mind Reset - And Grab Your Breakthrough

I'm speaking to you now as the one who preached this message. In the original video Here's your wake-up call: God's promises are written in your owner's manual, the warranty is real, and the only thing keeping you from experiencing breakthrough is unbelief. If you were with me live you saw the stories, the laughter, the metaphors, and the raw invitation to step out. If you couldn't be there, let this article carry the same urgency and call to action: today is a day to test the promise, to move your feet across your Jordan, and to kill the spirit of unbelief that has kept you circling the mountain.

Introduction — The Promise Is in the Owner's Manual

I keep telling people: the Bible is not merely a set of stories. It's your owner's manual. It's your warranty card. Everything the Maker attached to you is written inside. Every promise made is kept. When the manufacturer says zero to sixty in four point seven seconds, that promise exists whether or not you ever test it. But you only get to claim that experience when you believe and press the accelerator - you must act on the specification.

That was the heart of my message. Too many of you are sitting on promises you refuse to believe. You have head knowledge that God can move, but you don't have experiential knowledge because you won't test it. God says: test me. The promises are in the book. Step out and see what I will do.

Your Owner's Manual and Warranty — Why It Matters

Imagine buying a high-performance car. The brochure says one thing, the owner’s manual confirms it, and the manufacturer's warranty backs it. Yet some people keep the car in the garage, never trusting that the spec is real. That's where many Christians are spiritually: they know what God has said, but they refuse to test it.

Every promise in Scripture is accompanied by the same kind of guarantee. God is not an unreliable maker. He can't lie. The promise is there. The warranty is real. But the responsibility is on you to believe and to move your feet.

From Head Knowledge to Experiential Knowledge

Head knowledge is dangerous because it delights in facts but avoids risk. Experiential knowledge demands a step. In the video I told the story of proving the car's capability by slamming the accelerator: the turbos kicked in, we felt the G-force — proof. You might have all the promises written down in your Bible, but if you don't try the "accelerator," you won't know the reality of the promise in your your soul and your bones.

Worship Till You Get the Breakthrough

Don't wait for the breakthrough to begin worship. Worship until the breakthrough arrives. There is power in worship to shift atmospheres and to strip away fear. That's why I highlighted our brothers and sisters — Kat and Shirley — who come early, sit silent, pray, and worship until heaven breaks through into their day. Their lives are a demonstration that getting into God's presence is a practice you cultivate, not an accident you wait for.

Worship is not performance. It is surrender and an invitation to the presence of God. He said to Moses and He says to you: "I will personally go with you, and I will give you rest." When you come into His presence you begin to see how impossible things become possible.

Practical Prayer Rhythm: 20 / 20 / 20

Several people asked me: what does your prayer time actually look like? I outlined a simple, repeatable rhythm I call 20/20/20. If you have an hour, divide it into three segments:

20 minutes — Receiving: Sit, read the Word, meditate, whisper Scripture back to God. Prayer begins with God talking, then you respond. Use deep breath, light tongues, short phrases like "I love you, Jesus."
20 minutes — Ministering to God: Move from seated to standing or pacing. Lift hands, pray out loud in tongues, magnify and bless God. This is service to Him — ministering with your spirit. Around 15 minutes in you often shift from reaching for God to moving with God; songs, words, joy and perspective naturally come.
20 minutes — Request: Make petitions. Pray biblical prayers for family, friends, situations. Thank God that He hears you. Finish by returning to tongues or Scripture depending on your time.

This structure trains you to receive revelation, to engage in spiritual worship, and to release petitions from a place of settled faith. It’s reproducible and it produces fruit. If you do this consistently you will find your life calibrated to the movement of God.

Metaphors That Make Faith Reachable

Stories make spiritual truths tangible. I used three metaphors in the message so you can remember the application.

The Car: Capable of zero to sixty in 4.7 seconds — written in the manual, backed by warranty. You must hit the gas. Faith requires action.
The Razor: A wet/dry razor that came with a manual saying it's safe to use in the shower. A friend refused to test it because of fear. The razor was fine; unbelief cost him. The point: God equips you, but if you refuse to try what He gave you, you forfeit the benefit.
The Staff/Snake (Moses): God told Moses to throw his staff down; it became a snake, ate up the other snakes, then became a staff again. Throwing down what you have in obedience exposes God's power — it consumes the lies and defenses of the enemy.
Killing the Spirit of Unbelief

Unbelief is not a small problem. It’s a theft. Every time you say "I can't" you agree with the deceiver and give him authority. We must uproot the lies: "I'm too old," "I'm too young," "I don't have enough Scripture," "I don't have enough money." These are demonic mindsets designed to keep you circling the mountain. The remedy is simple and terrifyingly practical:

Read God's promises — treat Scripture as your owner's manual.
Whisper those promises back to God until they saturate your heart.
Take the six-inch step — act on what you read. Move your feet across the Jordan.

When Joshua stood on the cusp of the Promised Land, God told him to be strong and courageous because He would never leave him. Our invitation is the same. The breakthrough is ready, but you must step.

How to Cross Your Jordan — A Mindset Reset

Practically, crossing your Jordan begins with what you believe about yourself. You are an heir; you are co-seated with Christ; you are empowered to create and to steward. Stop settling into camp and circling the mountain of excuses. The Lord asked Moses, "What is that in your hand?" — throw it down and let God demonstrate His power through the ordinary. Your "staff" may be a humble skill, a single prayer, a small offering, a spoken Scripture. Throw it down and watch God multiply it.

Here are steps to take right now:

Choose one promise in Scripture and claim it daily: speak it aloud to the Lord and to your situation.
Adopt the 20/20/20 prayer rhythm for a week and write down any impressions, songs, or words you receive.
Practice blessing people who have cursed or injured you. Forgiveness releases you and activates God's blessing upon you.
Identify one small "accelerator" — an act of obedience that feels risky — and do it this week.
Cultivating His Presence — Why Everything Changes There

Ultimately this is about presence. When you are in God's presence, fear leaves, strategies are revealed, and power becomes available. Seek Him like David did in Psalm 27: "One thing I ask of the LORD... to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life." The presence of God is the doorway to every promise. People like Kat and Shirley show us that the more we cultivate consistent, intentional times with God, the more we begin to move with Him in real time.

Do Not Ignore Small Miracles

God often gets our attention through small, repeated signs. Moses needed more than one sign. Sometimes God will do multiple things to move us from doubt to faith. Pay attention. Keep a journal of the ways God shows up. Gratitude and memory will take you from head belief to lived reality.

Final Charge — Move Your Feet

Yesterday is dead. Moses's wandering is over. God has raised up Joshua-type leadership and he is calling you to step across the river. The Anointing to Break Things Open is upon you. But it won't work while you're indecisive. The car won't move unless you touch the pedal. Your heart won't receive the promise unless you step out in faith.

So, be bold. Be courageous. Kill the spirit of unbelief. Worship till the breakthrough. Start your prayer practice. Throw down your staff and watch God swallow the power of the enemy. Believe that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is working in you. Move your feet.

I'll leave you with this practical promise: If you have a mustard seed of faith — if you will give God what you have — He will multiply it. If you have 20 minutes to receive, 20 to minister, and 20 to ask, begin that rhythm and trust me, you'll begin to experience the Promised Land in ways you've never known. I believe it for you. The Lord says: "I will be with you wherever you go," so go.
