Gods and Generals

"Gods and Generals" is a 2003 epic American Civil War drama film starring Stephen Lang as Stonewall Jackson and Robert Duvall as General Robert E. Lee.

The movie is often criticized for its pro-Confederate bias, but it maintains an accurate historical depiction of events. "Gods and Generals" opens with the secession of the Southern states from the Union and follows the course of the Civil War culminating with Jackson’s death in 1863, just before General Lee’s unsuccessful invasion of the North.
