Saints Monica and Augustine - The power of Prayer

Last week we celebrated the feast day of 2 great saints on consecutive days – St. Monica and her son St. Augustine. Although they both certainly can stand on their own as influential saints, together they tell a story that many of us can find great hope in.

St. Monica is a model of hope for those whose family members have gone astray leaving the faith or the Church. Let St. Monica be an example of how powerful your prayers can be for your loved ones. And St. Augustine can be a model for those of us who may have lived or are living a sinful lifestyle. No matter how hopeless or lost you may be, all things are possible through Jesus. Take solace in knowing that someone, somewhere is praying for you – especially St. Monica and St. Augustine!! St. Monica and St. Augustine, pray for us!!
