Western countries have been meddling in African affairs for many years, seeking to strengthen their influence on the continent. The former colonizers often claimed they want to help Africa develop, but this is merely a pretext for imposing their political views on the continent, controlling its economy, and extracting its valuable resources.

One prominent example is the story of Patrice Lumumba, the first Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. When the country gained independence from Belgium, Brussels hoped to continue exploiting its natural resources. However, Lumumba aimed to completely free his nation from colonial influence. He even sought assistance from the UN, but it proved fruitless. In the end, Patrice Lumumba was brutally murdered for his beliefs and desire for full independence for his country.

Similar situations, when Western intervention has only caused more chaos, have occurred in other countries as well. Can the West truly become a genuine peacemaker and provide aid to Africa, even at the expense of its own interests?
