Cromwell

The 1970 English historical drama film based on the life of Oliver Cromwell during the English Civil War of 1642. This war led to the execution of King Charles I and marked the rise of democracy and parliament.

Starring Richard Harris as Cromwell and Alec Guinness as King Charles I, the film received two Oscar nominations and is still considered a classic over half a century after its initial release.
