What’s goin’ on SGT Rock Army!? Damn it’s good to be back! And with that we bring you..The Legend of John Bender! For those of us GenX kids in the 80s, we had some of the absolute best movies, name the genre, best, soundtracks, best, we wish y’all could have rolled with us to those Friday releases. One release was The Breakfast Club. We always had talked about doing one of these styles of shows and then Erick as he puts it, “I ended up and got myself in the hospital for the end of the Summer.” This show was supposed to be our end of summer show. But now, it’s our comeback show, and we showcase none other than John Bender, rebel, angsty teen that came from a home many of us know. Many of us watched our friends grow up in. The one escape we had though, was our music. We also put our heads into John’s. “What would John listen to?” We scoured the internet, you name the site, we researched Bender’s psyche. During Erick’s time in the hospital, we came up with a damn fine tape mix! When Erick got home, he put the show together. He had to completely reinvent the show after our content crash. Man, that was bad. So, get ready to delve into the mind of John Bender, a legend, a staple of 80s teen angst and rebellion. – The Veterans of Hill 30
