Prince of Peace vs Prince of This World

2 Timothy 3:1-5 “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-having a form of godliness but denying it’s power…

Matt 7:21-23; “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?” Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”
Judas was a disciple, he walked with Jesus yet did not believe. Matt 26:22-25 “surely not I, Lord? Asked the disciples vs “surely not I, Rabbi?” The difference between being your Lord and just a teacher.
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. Romans 6:23
Faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the word of God. Romans 10:17
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105
Caution! Do not substitute the word of God for music and prayer alone.
Power of the Cross
Gen 2:20-22. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord caused man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
John 19:33. But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.
Jesus redeemed Eve!!
The woman caught in the act of adultery. John 8:1-11
Gen 3:17-19. To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Jesus redeemed Adam, bearing that curse as a crown of thorns on his brow! John 19:1-2

Pride
Pride MONTH!! “You will not certainly die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Gen 3:4-5
There is a difference between pride and truth.
Luke 10:17-20. The 72 returned with joy and said, “Lord, event the demons submit to us in your name.”
He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

Lucifer had pride to “ascend to the heavens and raise his throne above the stars of God and be like the Most High.” Isaiah 14:12-14, Ezekiel 28:12-19
The Pride of the enemy has been flying in our faces. He is getting bolder in his atrocities. Through music, festivals, media, and more. He is the accuser, a liar and a thief.
Pride comes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
