TLDR If you don’t want to watch it because of your fried tik-tok brain:

hiking/Rucking tips

1. Make sure your pack is TIGHT and everything is comfortable and fits well.
2. If you are going to have a round in the chamber your handguns needs to he in holster, rifle thumb on safety and finger on magwell
3. Get over your ego, pace yourself and snack OFTEN. Change socks OFTEN.
4. When stopping for food. Crocs, and take the souls out of your boots to let them air out
5. Electrolytes. Sport drink, liquid IV, LMNT. Doesn’t matter how much your drinking if you’re not replenishing salts
6. Pack weight distribution
7. Foot powder/chaff stick
8. Music (huge motivator
9. Moving with someone you like, and has a similar pace as you.
10. Conditioning. You NEED to be rucking/running at least once a week. MINIMUM.
11. Drinking 1 gallon MINIMUM of water 3 days before the ruck
12. Stretching days before, and right before the ruck, honestly take a yoga class (im not kidding)
13. Clip your toe nails, get a pedicure, and trim you calluses(no I’m not kidding)
14. Stop and adjust your pack frequently. Adjust the chest strap when going down hill, and the kidney belt when going up hill.
15. Start cold, wear comfortable clothing.
