Today, a military parade is not just a display of power – it is a diagnosis and a mirror of the society that organizes it. While some march for the state, others parade for the sake of likes. Everyone wants to show off their power, only most reveal their weaknesses.

Perfectly coordinated, the Chinese army yesterday marched before the eyes of the world as if guided by an algorithm. And if the Chinese parade is an algorithm, the Russian one, shown in May in Moscow, seemed to be engraved in the national consciousness.

But while the East marches as an army, the West parades as an ensemble.
