A minute of silence

Hello everyone. I am Matt Hudson (Devilo4ek). I have some very sad news. Honestly, I don’t even know how to begin… perhaps I should start from the very beginning.

Many of you probably know the life story of Sasha Tkachuk, but for those who don’t, I will briefly tell you the most important part of it.

Before the war, Sasha had a big family. They all lived in Ukraine. When the war began, his older brother volunteered to fight, to defend his country against the Russian invaders.
During a Russian missile strike, Sasha lost his father, his middle brother, and his younger sister. Sasha and his mother first evacuated to Poland, then to Germany, and from there they eventually arrived in Norway. That is where we all met.

Sasha was able to keep in touch with his older brother. He was always happy that his brother, Nikolai, was alive and well. Sasha often told us that ever since his birth, his brother had replaced both his mother and father for him (their parents had problems in the family and did not really take care of their children’s upbringing).
Sasha loved his brother deeply — he was everything to him.

Around the middle of June, Sasha could no longer reach his brother. He was terribly worried. He expressed his fears and his hope in his original song and video *“Lullaby for Brother.”*

I, together with Leif Hansen (Drømmer), contacted volunteers in Ukraine, and we were also helped by people with connections who appreciate our work. We asked them to find out where Sasha’s brother was and what had happened to him. Just before Phoenix’s birthday, on August 30, I received an official letter from Ukraine stating that Sasha’s brother had been killed in battle.

At that time, I couldn’t bring myself to tell Sasha that his brother was gone. He was full of anticipation for Phoenix’s birthday, cheerful, and busy preparing for the celebration. I didn’t want to ruin the holiday for anyone, so I remained silent.
Today, when our entire creative group and close friends gathered together, we finally told Sasha this tragic news. I will not describe what Sasha went through at that moment.

From this day forward, we have surrounded Sasha with our care, support, and love. We will do everything we can to bring at least a little bit of happiness, joy, and his smile back to him.
I have already taken the first step toward this. I won’t go into details, but I will say one thing: for Sasha’s happiness and future, I have crossed a line I thought I never would. I will have to leave my friends for three to four months and devote myself to something completely different — but it is for Sasha’s sake and for his future.

In light of these recent events, all art contests and music contests in our group are temporarily canceled. For the time being, there will also be no new clips or songs from Sasha — as you understand, right now he cannot focus on this.
The projects that are already underway and in progress will be completed, and you will see them soon. New projects will be handled by Phoenix, Leif, and Andrey, but without my and Sasha’s direct participation. I will help them occasionally, but we will not be able to meet.

I understand that no matter what words of comfort or condolences I say to Sasha, they cannot ease his grief. But I will still say this:
Sasha, our talisman, our little ray of light, our sunshine — we all love you so much, and for your sake we will do everything possible and impossible to make your life a happy one. We know we can never replace your brother, but know this: now you have four most loyal and loving brothers.

Всем привет. Я — Мэтт Хадсон (Девилочик). У меня очень неприятные новости. Честно говоря, я не знаю, как начать… наверное, начну с самого начала.

Многие, наверное, знают историю жизни Саши Ткачука, а если кто-то не знает — я очень коротко расскажу о самом главном моменте в его жизни.

До войны у Саши была большая семья. Они все жили в Украине. Когда началась война, его старший брат ушёл добровольцем защищать свою страну от российских захватчиков.
В результате ракетного удара россиян у Саши погиб отец, средний брат и младшая сестра. Саша вместе с мамой сначала эвакуировались в Польшу, затем в Германию, а оттуда попали в Норвегию. Там мы и познакомились.

У Саши была возможность общаться со своим старшим братом. Он всегда радовался, что его брат Николай жив и здоров. Саша часто говорил нам, что брат с самого его рождения заменял ему и маму, и папу (в семье были проблемы — родители мало занимались воспитанием детей).
Саша безумно любил своего брата, он был для него всем.

Примерно в середине июня Саша перестал выходить на связь с братом. Он очень переживал. Свои тревоги и надежду он выразил в своей авторской песне и клипе *«Колыбельная для брата»*.

Я и Leif Hansen (Drømmer) связались с волонтёрами в Украине. Также нам помогли люди со связями, которым нравится наше творчество. Мы просили найти и узнать, где сейчас находится брат Саши и что с ним. Буквально накануне дня рождения Феникса, 30 августа, я получил официальное письмо из Украины, где было сказано, что брат Саши погиб в бою.

Тогда я не смог сказать Саше, что его брата больше нет. Он был в предвкушении дня рождения Феникса, очень весёлый, занимался подготовкой к празднику. Я не хотел никому портить праздник — и промолчал.
Сегодня, когда вся наша творческая группа и близкие друзья собрались вместе, мы сообщили Саше эту трагическую новость. Я не буду описывать, что Саша испытал в этот момент.

С этого дня мы окружили Сашу заботой, поддержкой и любовью. Мы сделаем всё, чтобы он снова обрёл хоть немного счастья, радости и свою улыбку.
Первый шаг к этому я уже сделал. Я не буду вдаваться в подробности, но скажу одно: ради счастья и будущего Саши я перешёл через черту, которую думал никогда не перейду. Мне придётся уйти от своих друзей на 3–4 месяца и заниматься совершенно другим делом, но это ради Саши и его будущего.

В свете новых событий все арт-конкурсы и музыкальные конкурсы в нашей группе временно отменяются. В ближайшее время не будет новых клипов и песен от Саши — сами понимаете, ему сейчас не до этого.
Проекты, которые уже запущены и над которыми велась работа, будут доведены до конца — вы увидите их совсем скоро. Новыми проектами будут заниматься Феникс, Лиф и Андрей, но без моего и Сашиного непосредственного участия. Я иногда буду помогать им, но мы не сможем видеться.

Я понимаю: какими бы словами утешения и соболезнования я сейчас ни говорил, Саше это не поможет. Но всё же я скажу:
Саша, наш талисман, наш лучик, наш солнечный зайчик — мы все тебя очень сильно любим и ради тебя сделаем возможное и невозможное, лишь бы твоя жизнь была счастливой. Мы знаем, что не сможем заменить тебе брата, но знай: теперь у тебя есть четверо самых верных и любящих братьев.
