God Doesn't Call the Qualified, He Qualifies the Called.

This is essentially proof that God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies the called. President Trump is no exception to this rule. I see a lot of things in Trump that mirror Saul of Tarsus. A redeemed sinner, just like all the rest of us who call ourselves by Christ's Name: Christians.

Gleaned from the late Ray Stedman, it is Interesting how when Saul of Tarsus encountered Jesus on the Damascus Road, he was sent to the house of a guy named Judas and then God the Father both sent him to the house of a guy named Ananias to deliver him from blindness.

Saul of Tarsus, basically a mass murderer before his conversion, who was later known as Paul the apostle to the Gentiles and subsequently used of by God the Father to pen over half of the New Testament.

“The main thing is to make sure the main thing is the main thing because without that main thing, you’ve got no-thing.”

Forever’s a long time. Naturally, that “main thing” is the finished work of Jesus (See also 2 Corinthians 13:5 for more information. EVERYONE needs a savior (1 John 1:8-10) since the evil of mankind runs so deep there’s absolutely NOTHING anyone in this fallen world can ever do to rectify it.

For one to be labeled a “Christian” means that person is a “Christ follower”. Naturally, that means His finished work.

Unbelievers cannot comprehend this. That's on them, because until they experience grace for themselves, they never will.

(SIDE NOTE: The term “Christ” is a title, not a name. It means either “Anointed One” or “Messiah”. “Jesus” means “The LORD is salvation”.)

(ANOTHER SIDE NOTE: Don’t forget that “LORD” (all caps) in the Old Testament is the HEBREW word. It’s a reference to “Yahweh”. By contrast, “Lord” is the GREEK word. It’s a reference to “Jesus”. And yet, they are one and the same...but yet they are not...but yet they are one in same...but yet they are not...but...MORE MYSTERY TIME!? )
