15-year-old boy dies after being hit by car in Shelby Township

A 15-year-old boy died after being struck by a car Saturday evening in Shelby Township. The Shelby Township Police and Fire departments were dispatched to 25 Mile Road, just west of Hayes Road, at 6:10 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle. The boy, who was from Macomb Township, was given emergency medical services by officers and paramedics, but later died.
