If I had a gen z kid (hypothetically)

If I had a gen z kid they would be getting a phone from my era where you gotta strike a key a million times to get one letter. The reason for this is it would compel them to actually call me and compel them to engage with me as the hypothetical parent. In my neck of the woods I am encountering a lot of young adults born between the date range of 1998 to 2006 who desire a connection with older adults and I think it's weird from the point of view as an autistic guy.

But looking at it logically vs emotionally I would think that many gen ex parents gave their offspring a phone and just turned them loose to keep their mind occupied vs checking up on what they are doing. It's what they knew to keep their kids minds occupied. The people born a century prior to gen x would would give their offspring all kinds of over the counter "fix all" drugs that you could get at the corner drug store and it ended up causing more harm than good. It pushed early 20th century people into uncharted territory with mental disorders.

In many aspects I think the smart phone for gen z was the modern day interpretation of the fix all drug that you could get a century prior.

In this video I am getting ready to back up all that is sacred on my "anti cloud" and I am using a software program called no machine. If you bought your kid a laptop, you can configure no machine to run in the background so they don't know that the program is active and you can watch in real time as to what they are doing on their laptop. You can even yell at them through their laptop from a mobile device. The free version stays with in the confines of your home wifi network. The paid version can be utilized over the internet.
