Xi, Putin and Kim show united front at huge Chinese military parade

China, Russia, and North Korea’s leaders appeared together publicly for the first time at a massive military parade in Beijing, marking 80 years since the end of World War II.

President Xi Jinping showcased China’s advanced weapons, including nuclear missiles, drones, and robotic systems, while calling for peace and global cooperation.

On the sidelines, Vladimir Putin praised North Korea for sending troops to Ukraine, and he and Kim Jong Un met with Xi and other invited dignitaries.

Most Western leaders skipped the event. Former U.S. President Donald Trump accused the three leaders of conspiring against the U.S., which Kremlin officials denied, the BBC has reported.

The parade included 50,000 vetted spectators, military demonstrations, and a ceremonial lunch at the Great Hall of the People.
