Big Block Modifieds at Weedsport

A National career race at Weedsport Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is mostly smooth, with a couple bumps on the high side. There is a decent amount of room for maneuvering around traffic, but it can get tight in turns 1 and 2. The track does get slick through the middle after Qualifying and progressively gets worse. I find the bottom fastest through Qualifying, then transitioning to the top for the remainder of the event. You can use the bottom after qualifying, but you will have to hit your marks so you don't end up on the slick.

A pretty good race with 3 cautions. The first came as I went 3 wide with Paul St. Sauveur and CG Morey out of turn 4, with Morey getting spun out by Sauveur drifting a little too high. The 2nd caution came Anthony Perrego got loose going into turn 1, spinning himself out. The 3rd and final caution came as Marc Johnson got into Mike Mahaney, causing Mahaney to spin out. I was was near the incident and had to check up and dive low to avoid. Generally traffic navigation was pretty good, having to wait at times. It took me a bit to get by Tim Sears Jr and Billy Decker as they were close enough to not be able to get cleanly between them. I ended up having to get between them and causing Decker to check up a little to make a hole. I did lightly bump a couple cars. I also got into the wall a couple times. Overall the race was pretty good.
