Gardaí warn of political extremism “on all sides”

Newly-appointed Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly has said that he doesn’t want to focus exclusively on “far-right” extremism, arguing that there is violent political extremism “on all sides of the [political] spectrum”. He also identified “radical Islam” as among the leading threats to the State.
