Family Court Fraud Warriors: Weigel & Luthmann Expose “Journalistic Treason”

Wall Street veteran David Weigel and hard-hitting journalist Richard Luthmann are waging war on America’s secretive family courts. In a fiery discussion with the Family Court Fraud Warrior Project, they exposed a system they call “a fraudulent, profit-driven enterprise” where judges, lawyers, and guardians feed off parents like cattle.

Weigel, once silenced by mainstream reporters, says Luthmann’s fearless journalism changed everything: “Richard is a rare bird… one of the few journalists with the balls to report the truth.” Luthmann’s exposés, like the viral Designer Child Trafficker, named names and flipped the script on powerful abusers. Weigel credits those stories with turning his despair into determination, sparking the Family Court Fraud Warrior Project to marshal data and media firepower.

But their battle isn’t just with crooked courts. Luthmann accuses mainstream media of “journalistic treason,” refusing to cover family court horror stories to protect their elite networks and donor ties. “The media today is doing nothing… even watchdog nonprofits are co-opted,” he charged. To Luthmann, silence in the face of child-trafficking allegations is betrayal.

The feud came to a head when reform journalist Susan Bassi refused to cover a bombshell case involving protective mother Julie Holburn. Luthmann called it a “cardinal sin of journalism,” blasting Bassi as a fraud who killed the story. Weigel went further, branding her retreat “treason against the movement” and warning that journalists who refuse to stand with protective parents “hand abusers a victory by silence and sabotage.”

At stake is the First Amendment itself. “Our forefathers figured it out… freedom of the press had to be the First Amendment,” Weigel said. Luthmann added, “The family court itself is the crime… the business model of fraud.” Both men argue only relentless exposure can stop a racket that thrives in the shadows.

Their message is clear: the free press may be under siege in family court, but warriors like Weigel and Luthmann are keeping the fight alive. With parents and children on the line, silence is no longer an option.
