It's been 10 months since a damning report declared chronic absence in students at school had reached "crisis point".

Since then, attendance has improved, but still, only 58.4 percent of students went to school regularly in Term 2.

Associate Education Minister David Seymour acknowledges there is more to do, though, he's confident the Government's truancy funding boost is paying off.
