📉 India Dumps U.S. Treasuries, Boosts Gold Reserves | Global De-Dollarization Accelerates 🌍

In today’s video, we dive deep into India’s strategic shift away from U.S. dollar-denominated assets and what it means for the future of global finance.

As of mid Q3 2025, India has reduced its U.S. Treasury holdings to $227 billion, down from $242 billion last year — signaling a cautious move to diversify its foreign exchange reserves. Simultaneously, the Reserve Bank of India has added over 39 metric tonnes of gold, increasing its total gold reserves to nearly 880 tonnes — a record year-on-year increase.

This move aligns with a growing global trend of de-dollarization, as central banks hedge against U.S. fiscal risks, currency volatility, and geopolitical uncertainty. China is also cutting U.S. debt, while others like Israel increase their holdings — a clear sign of diverging global strategies.

Is this the end of the dollar’s dominance? Not quite — but it is being diluted.

📌 Topics Covered:
- India's U.S. Treasury sell-off
- Central bank gold buying
- Global de-dollarization trends
- Foreign exchange reserve strategies
