Definition of REPENTANCE. What it Means to REPENT!

.... Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Act 2:38 KJV)

In the Holy Word of the Most High GOD we all are commanded to REPENT. In the Bible it also let's us know that if you don't REPENT, you will PERISH!

Therefore, knowing the definition & true meaning of the word REPENT is vital to our Salvation. REPENTANCE is something we must live out in our daily lives as representatives of the Messiah Christ.

We are commanded to be and live Holy lives, living up to the standard of Holiness set in the Holy Scriptures. This is impossible without REPENTING.

[ Defining REPENT / REPENTANCE: ]
It means to make a willful decision to turn away from that which is wrong, unto that which is right. (according to the will and Word of GOD, in your servitude to Him)

To have a change in the way you think, which produces a change in the way you live (how you operate & behave daily), and how you conduct yourself as a believer.

Believers who have not truly REPENTED from their old ways, those who refuse to REPENT of CONVICTED SIN - will remain immature, stunted in their growth in Christ and will be unstable in their walk unto Luke Warmness (Revelations 3:16)

.... except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luk 13:5 KJV)

Perish means to be destroyed! It's not a joke... The Lord will Judge according to His Holy Word, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Galatians 6:7 KJV)
