TODAY Gen 47:14-15 NLT

14 By selling grain to the people, Joseph eventually collected all the money in Egypt and Canaan, and he put the money in Pharaoh’s treasury.
15 When the people of Egypt and Canaan ran out of money, all the Egyptians came to Joseph. “Our money is gone!” they cried. “But please give us food, or we will die before your very eyes!”

The famine that came over the land extended beyond Egypt to Canaan, where Jacob and his family lived. God who knows ahead had sent Joseph ahead of them to Egypt t0 preserve them. Secondly, notice that the reign of Joseph extended to Canaan, so even if his brothers didn’t come to Egypt, they would have still been ruled by Joseph from the land of Egypt. You may not always understand outcomes, but your trust Yahweh and the process, He is able to help you because He governs the Earth. Dan 4:17 AMP

A Song of Ascents. THOSE WHO trust in, lean on, and confidently hope in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides and stands fast forever.

2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from this time forth and forever.

3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the [uncompromisingly] righteous, lest the righteous (God’s people) stretch forth their hands to iniquity and apostasy.

4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are right [with You and all people] in their hearts.

5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways [of indifference to God], the Lord will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!
