Two arrested after burglary-turned-fatal attack in Bloubergstrand

A burglary in Bloubergstrand took a tragic turn when an attempted home invasion ended in a car guard’s murder. On the early morning of August 31, the victim was fatally stabbed in a parking area at Marine Circle, as captured on chilling CCTV footage. The footage showed a man exit a vehicle and stab the car guard after a brief conversation; a woman also got out but remained in the background. The male and female suspects fled but were quickly traced by detectives and arrested at a residence near the scene before midday. They’ve been formally charged with murder and are slated to appear in Cape Town Magistrate’s Court. Authorities continue to investigate the motive.
