Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
This fairly potent system that's tracking through today is bringing lots of wind and some milder air in from the south. Anyone north still seeing snow will see this transition over to rain with some minor additional accumulation there. This activity will taper off from west to east this afternoon. Highs will climb into the low-40s with winds gusting to up to 40 MPH at times. Tonight we'll have a lull between systems with breezy conditions in the evening. Lows will be in the upper-20s with mostly cloudy skies. We'll have another, much weaker system tracking through on Tuesday. This could bring parts of the area a few snow showers possibly mixing in with a couple raindrops. If there's any snow accumulation, it should stay under 1". Highs will top out in the upper-30s. Colder air rushes in behind this system for Tuesday night bringing lows in the mid-teens. That will be accompanied by wind, so the wind chills will feel quite chilly. Wednesday and Thursday look blustery and colder, but still not that bad for this time of year with highs in the low-20s. A slow moving clipper moves through in the late week, into the early weekend. This could bring us some light snow with highs in the mid- to upper-20s. Although it will turn colder........no big shots of arctic air are in the forecast for the next 7-days.
