In this video we are reading SWEPT AWAY from THE BUSHMAN'S GUIDE. "IN 1917 the town of Clermont, In Central Queensland, experienced what was probably the most disastrous flood in Australia's history. Clermont was built in a depression near which two creeks ran together, a dangerous site as some had pointed out. In years gone by only one of the creeks had been in flood at one time. It had been remarked that should they ever be in flood together the result might be serious."
