Posted • September 1, 2025: A group of doctors in Canada is now pushing for disabled newborn babies to be euthanized, according to the Daily Mail. The Quebec College of Physicians says euthanizing disabled babies "may be an appropriate treatment." - "The CMQ reiterates that medical assistance in dying may be an appropriate treatment for babies suffering from extreme pain that cannot be relieved and who have severe malformations or serious polysymptomatic syndromes that destroy any prospect of survival," they told the Daily Mail. "The CMQ believes that parents should have the opportunity to obtain this care for their infant under these well-defined circumstances." Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) is legal in Canada. Patients don't need to be terminally ill to qualify. "In two years, the mentally ill will qualify for MAID, and parliament has recommended granting access to minors," the Daily Mail reported.
