Cooper pledges to end use of asylum hotels 'for good'

Home secretary Yvette Cooper has announced a shake up of family reunion rules for migrants, saying "substantial reforms" to the asylum system are needed "now".

Cooper said that the overall asylum system remains "outdated" and "unfair" and a new independent body will "deal with immigration and asylum appeals".
