Hollywood Suffers from Audiences Abandoning Theaters

Hollywood has been struggling to bring back audiences following theaters being forcibly shutdown in 2020 and now studios are beginning to wonder if things will ever be back to normal.

2025 Has already been declared the worst year for superhero movies since 2011, and even movies like Superman and Fantastic Four are not enough to change that despite being decently received by audiences. The rise in streaming has likely played a role in this with audiences being conditioned to wait until to watch a movie at home instead of going to theaters. With a changing landscape studios need to change how they operate. Instead of putting out fewer high dollar blockbusters they need to instead focus on more frequent releases of cheaper movies.
