#learntoswim #india On your journey to water confidence, you probably encounter a lot of challenges. The hurdles you have to overcome are not only related to your ability to acquire the skills of swimming, but also some cultural and geographical barriers.

In every country I travelled to, the swimming culture and the accessibility of swimming facilities were different. In some places it was very easy to access a swimming pool and enjoy the water immediately.

In other places, you could enter the swimming pool without signing paperwork about your health or going through some stringent and weird hoops.

All this is making learning to swim harder, and contributing to high rate of tragedies in the water.

South east Asia and India in this case are considered in the top of the list of places where people struggle with water, confidence, and swimming. And because it is hard to prescribe a solution to such complex problem, I decided to ask questions to the comment section so that we can all find the answers and solutions together.

If you live in India and you’re trying to learn to swim, this video is for you.

Please share your experience in learning to swim in India. If you are a swimming teacher working and living in India, let us know what are the realities of your day-to-day. Hopefully by creating this space, we can have discussions and find answers and help each other on a mission to make everybody safer in the water.
